The poll results at CivicScience.com are collected across a network of third-party polling widgets, Facebook and mobile applications, and visitors to our site. The public results visible on our site are unweighted, which means that they may not be representative of the entire population. For example, questions about video games may be answered more frequently on third-party websites with young users, so older consumers are not proportionally represented in the sample. HOWEVER, by comparing a question's results with other questions we ask, such as age, marital status or others, you can explore exactly how biased the sample might be and also explore how those biases affect the overall results.
